OUR BELIEFS
WHO WE ARE
Christ Church began meeting in Columbus in the fall of 2020.
We are a small but growing fellowship of Presbyterian and Baptist families united in the historic Reformed faith. As a mission church of Evangel Presbytery, we hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms, led by Pastor Andy Halsey and supported by three elders from sister Evangel churches.
We gather for family-integrated worship—whole families together in reverent, liturgical services: faithful preaching, Scripture reading, prayer, and singing traditional hymns (not exclusive psalmody).

WHAT WE BELIEVE
We are a mission church of Evangel Presbytery, made up of Presbyterian and Baptist families united by our shared confession of the historic Reformed faith. We affirm without reservation the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms as our doctrinal standards, embracing the authority of Scripture, the sovereignty of God in salvation, and the necessity of the local church in the life of every believer.

The Bible is God's infallible Word to man. Every word is true, inspired, and authoritative for faith and practice.
Jesus Christ died for sinners. His atoning death is the only way we escape the wrath and consequences of sin.
God's free grace is the sole reason Christ came to seek and save the lost—we contribute nothing but our sin.
Faith in Jesus alone is how we receive God's gift of salvation, which is justification by grace through faith, apart from works.
The Glory of God is the chief end of man and all creation; the Christian's life goal is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever (Westminster Shorter Catechism Q1).
